I climbed something dangerous today
Like kinda dangerous, at least. Mostly dangerous, even. (not the horse, we just saw him lurking somewhere)
DC, Jagil, and I went to box in Roswell today- which mostly turned into catching him up on boxes he didn't already have that we'd got. We wound up going after a box that no one had gone after in a three years, I have to say I can kinda see why.
There's a certain amount of attrition in boxes. Like you hide one, everyone in the area goes after it, and after they have it the collection on it stops. Unless a visitor comes by or a new boxer shows up in the area it's kinda done.
So we wound up down at the Chattahoochee getting a box that hadn't been found in three years- not that anyone had gone for it or anything- and it involved this narrow trail over the river, which suddenly turned into rock cliffs over more rocks in the river below. Total death trap. And like I didn't already have a ton of knee injuries I was like, we have to get this one. DC sat it out after a bit and Jagil and I clambered on over the rocks, holding onto trees and things til we got back to actual ground again.
Found the first box, not the second, but by that point we were pretty much to Vickery Falls, which seemed like it should have been farther off. Lovely fall leaves though.
Other than that Nanowrimo is going really well. I didn't write anything today and yesterday I was already past the half way point, which is crazy over the top writing. Thanks scifi genre. So many words.
