Wild Animals While Letterboxing

I've only been letterboxing since April 2013 so it's been a pretty good start to the hobby- I'm at almost three hundred boxes now. In that time I've spent a lot more time in the woods than I have before. I hiked for exercise mostly, but never anything like this. I tried geocaching once and wasn't impressed. Seemed like a lot of work for McDonald's toys. Since April I've seen a good bit of woodland creatures, too. Mostly squirrels and chipmunks, but a few other, unsettling things.
Saw this guy several times, in the same spot on Kennesaw Mountain.

And this in Bells Ferry Park. First of many, many scorpions on letterboxes. Weird that I'd never actually seen one in the wild until recently- now I think I've seen about ten.
And this guy was up at Red Top Mountain, Cartersville, Georgia.
